About Robin:
I was 10 years old on a trip to California when my parents took me to a show on “How to train your dog like a star,” There were lots of dogs performing all sorts of tricks but I was mesmerized. I went home with the hope of doing that some day. I became obsessed with training any animals I could get my hands on to perform tricks. I trained the 3 dogs we owned to do 25 commands, the cat 5 tricks and I even attempted to train our not so friendly hamster “teddy”.
My second job was boarding and training at a dog kennel at 16-years-old. I was hooked but my parents insisted that I attend college which I did, working with animals while I finished my education. I worked in the “real world” as a counselor for youths for about 4 years. But my love for dogs and dog training pulled at me. I went back to the dogs for good at the age of 23.
Now it could be because I was born in the year of the dog. (I really was) or it was just meant to be. Now, going on 40, this is my passion and all I want to do. I love it and am always learning something new. I couldn’t ask for a better career.
When not working, training or playing with the dogs I enjoy fly fishing, outdoor activities, camping, hiking and traveling to fish new areas. I also serve on the board of Washington C.A.S.H. and do volunteer work around the community
